Whole Foods From Luna Lodge Gardens
Dinning at Luna Lodge
Whole foods at Luna Lodge go hand-in-hand with wellness.
We serve three delicious meals daily with much of the produce from our organic gardens and local growers. Costa Rica has some of the most nutrient-rich soil on the planet, producing food packed with vitamins and minerals meant to support every cell of your body. The food is prepared and cooked with the utmost care and love by the fantastic Luna Lodge chefs.

The Restaurant at Luna Lodge
El Eclipse Total
The main lodge houses the restaurant, bar, kitchen, reception, and library. The dimensions of the structure reflect those of the surrounding rainforest, with a towering roof soaring 25 feet over one of the largest ranchos on the Osa Peninsula. The restaurant at Luna Lodge, “El Eclipse Total”, is open all day and features creative local and international cuisine and exotic native dishes, homemade bread, organic fruits and veggies, and scrumptious salads, accompanied with natural juices, or your favorite tropical libations. Everything at the lodge is prepared fresh each day and can be catered to any dietary needs.
We have two edible organic gardens that supply our kitchen. One behind the main restaurant for easy access for our chefs, and one up on top of the ridge above the yoga platform. There are hot and sweet chilies, parsley, celery, turmeric, oregano, basil, mustard, ginger, cilantro, and many more varieties of our whole foods. We continue to add to this garden at the top of Luna Lodge.
Counted among the fruit trees are banana, plantain, mango, water apple, papaya, china fruit, mandarin orange, lemon, cacao, avocado, jack-fruit, purple mangosteen, and cashew. We also grow our own green beans, beets, sweet corn, and pineapple.
The bar at Luna Lodge serves everything from fresh smoothies to a good selection of wines, beers and your favorite cocktails. Enjoy these fresh drinks at the Bar Eclipse Total or around the pool overlooking the rainforest.
The dining area is open-air, spacious, and large enough to afford comfort for dozens of guests. There is even space for an occasional rainforest dance!

Another special thing about Luna Lodge is the water. We have fresh water. And we mean fresh. Which makes all our food, our drinks and even our coffee taste their freshest.
Fresh water goes hand in hand with ecotourism and natural wellness, and this patch of Costa Rica’s last remaining tropical humid rainforest embraces a complex system of freshwater.
Luna Lodge on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica brings together the fresh water from the rainforest, ecotourism in harnessing that water, whole foods in using the fresh water, and wellness in awakening all your senses in the heart of the rainforest.
The spacious deck at the front of the restaurant is ideal for birdwatching, stargazing, or just absorbing the energy of the rainforest. Comfortable rocking chairs and hammocks line the perimeter of the main lodge.
Secluded in a beautiful garden alongside the main lodge rests a natural rock-encrested pool perfect for sunbathing, cooling off from a vigorous tour, or just sitting and enjoying the surrounding rainforest.
